Don't worry—I'll explain what the letters mean.
But first, let me tell you about my approach to therapy.

Clients describe me as warm, direct, open-minded, and nonjudgmental. They appreciate how I confront them without shaming them, and how I strike a balance between accepting and teaching. I joke that I am not a smile and nod therapist; I’m here to collaborate with you, ask the right questions, challenge you, and help you find creative, sustainable ways to move through life's challenges.

While I have been heavily trained in psychopathologizing and psychiatric diagnosis, I work from strength-based, trauma-informed, and multicultural models of counseling. I pull from different modalities, depending on what we feel best fits your needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), IFS (Internal Family Systems), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Writing Therapy, Art Therapy, and Mindfulness. My focus is on helping you as a whole person—utilizing your inner strengths and resources, community, interests, values, and habits as tools for sustainable progress.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending my time nerding out over health and wellness, tarot and astrology, cooking, hosting friends, spending "Italian Sundays" with my family, practicing yoga, relaxing at the beach, or getting messy at the stables horseback riding. As a neurodivergent person living with chronic illnesses, I spend each day learning how to find balance and harmony within my mind, body, and spirit, and find purpose in helping others do the same.

The Pamela you meet in therapy is the same Pamela you would bump into at Harris Teeter. I find the more authentically and transparently I show up as a therapist, the more my clients are inclined to do the same. It expedites the process, creates a deeply healing experience, and it just feels better. You can learn more about my academic and professional experience below.

Degrees, Licenses & Certifications

2019-2021
After a short-lived career in digital marketing, I honored my intuition and went back to school to become a therapist, which was the best decision I have ever made. I earned my Master of Science in Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and graduated summa cum laude. It all felt incredibly natural and instinctual to me—I knew I was exactly where I belonged from the moment I sat down for orientation.
2013-2017
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and Public Relations, and graduated cum laude. I met some of my best friends, became Editor in Chief of URI's Her Campus Chapter—an online magazine for college women—and realized I was capable of more than I gave myself credit for.
2020
While leading an adolescent addiction IOP at New Pathway SOARFIT, I obtained New Jersey’s Opioid Overdose Prevention Network Program Certification. Harm reduction is a core value of mine.
2023
Completing Wilmington Yoga Center's Mindfulness & the Eightfold Path Yoga Lifestyle & Teacher Training was a life-changing experience that enriched my understanding of the mind, body, and spirit connection. Traveling through Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga transformed my worldview, identity, self-care, and counseling style.
